- In order to avoid clothes deformation while washing use washing bags «VILAND».
- In order to prevent colours from fading add some salt to the detergent solution.
- Do not boil new clothes, but soak them in a very big quantity of water for 1 or 2 days.
- Washing white clothes you can use liquid ammonia (1 table spoon for a bucket of water) instead of bleaching powder.
- Washing curtain laces you can add a little milk to the solution of bluing, it will make them look brand new.
- In order to prevent carved laces from tearing put them into a soap solution in a jar, close it tightly and then shake it well for a few minutes. Rinse and dry the laces without extraction.
- Bath towels will become soft and fluffy if you wash or boil them in salty water or leave them in salty water for a while after washing without further ironing.
- Garments with coloured embroideries should be soaked before washing adding 2 tea-spoons of salt for 1 l of water and then washed in soapy salty water at a room temperature. Iron the well-dried garments on the inner side.
- Woolen knitted fabrics will look like new after washing if you add some glycerin into water (1 table-spoon for 10 l of water) while rinsing.
- Woolen fabrics with unstable colouring should be washed in a solution of detergent with some salt and vinegar.

- candle wax – smash to pieces, scrape away and remove with a vacuum cleaner. The remaining stains should be covered with absorbent blotting-paper and ironed.
- chewing gum – freeze the garment: put some ice-cubes in a plastic bag on the stain, then scrape chewing gum away. After that apply methyl alcohol on the fabric and dry it with patting.
- coffee – it is enough to wash wet fabric with soft soap and then dry excessive moisture out.
- beer - wash with soft soap, remove excessive moisture and then apply vinegar solution (2 table-spoons of white vinegar for 1 l of water). Dry excessive moisture out, rinse with clear water and dry.
- blood – only wash in cold water.
- chocolate – dry it first, then wash in warm water with soft soap.
- fruit juice – can be removed with a mixture of ammonia and vinegar.
- ink – wash it off with acetone and dry, then rinse with clean water.
- jam – wash it with a solution of soft soap and vinegar. Rinse with clean water afterwards.
- red wine – blot it immediately. Then sprinkle the wet spot with salt. After the salt absorbs the wine and the stain gets dry, clean it with a brush or vacuum cleaner.
- non-alcoholic beverages – wash it with slightly warm water and then dry.
- white wine – wash it with a solution of 3/4 methyl alcohol and ¼ water and then dry. Wash it again with a solution of soft soap and water and then dry.
